Found Poetry inspired by "Wonder" written by R J Palacio

This term we have been reading a novel called "Wonder" by R J Palacio. This has been part of a nationwide programme within schools called Chapter Chat. Our work is shared with other schools using Twitter, you can follow us on Twitter at Mrs Kellie Y5 MVS @Y5Mrs. As part of the analysis of the text we have created found poetry or blackout poetry. We started by selecting key words and short punchy sentences that create effect. We then shared are poetry to the rest of the class.

By doing this we can see the importance of using adjectives/describing words, verbs, adverbs, key words within our writing.

We are planning on publishing our work and creating an anti-bullying message. As a class we want to promote kindness.
