Kadinsky inspired Family Tree

Our inquiry into culture has led us to explore our own culture. We integrated math by looking at how we show relationships. Then we did some homework investigations into our family, and used our math to show these relationships. Students were surprised and delighted by the results of their investigations.

Students are now busy creating their own family tree art.

We wanted to recreate that interconnection between each other and to that of our families. So, here is Room 16's family tree - Kadinsky inspired.

We learnt that Kadinsky is a Russian artist, who was originally a law teacher and a musician. As an inspiring artist, he believed that everything started with a dot, he linked shapes to feelings, and colours with musical notes.
